Lower taxes are up to you!
What does 1053 do?
Initiative 1053 makes it tougher to raise your taxes, encourages
more responsible,
prioritized spending and gives taxpayers the opportunity to reject tax
increases. I-1053 requires a two-thirds vote of the state House and Senate on
any tax measure – and if they can’t agree, then voters get to decide.
With another $3 billion budget deficit looming on the
horizon, taxpayers need Initiative 1053 in place to encourage prioritized state
spending and protects
taxpayers from unnecessary tax increases by requiring broad legislative or
voter support next session and beyond.
Without
I-1053 in place, lawmakers will hike taxes again, rather than make the tough decisions
families are making.
Make sure you’re in control this November. And when lawmakers convene in Olympia next
January.
Vote
YES ON 1053.
